I have had many friends and fans to ask if I am competing this year. I apologize that I have not updated my website lately. I have been dealing with some personal things. Within the last 3 months, my husband has been diagnosed with cancer and started treatment and my father had a bad stroke. I regret that I will not be able to compete this year, but I need this time with my family.

This weekend my husband, Adam, had a competition in Wheeling, WV. It was an excellent show run by the A-Team...... the WV State and Mid-Atlantic Grand Prix sponsored by our own Erik Fankhouser. We had some fantastic Pro guest posers like Erik himself, Flex Lewis, and Carlo Filippone. Best of all... Adam won his weight class in both divisions. Way to go , Baby!!!!!

Today is my Birthday!!! It has been a great day! I have some wonderful friends and family that made it special for me. I had nice dinner at the Outback with some friends! I should have known better than to go out to eat with the girls on my Birthday. Thank goodness they don't sing Happy Birthday there. Instead, they just announce to the whole restaurant how old you are, so when the waiter ask my age..... I simply replied....uh, 17!? He said "that works!". You think he believed me?...LOL.
August 4, 2008:
Well, the remodeling and expansion is now complete! The salon look fabulous! Everything just fell into place like it should, and we were able to complete the project in three weeks. The only down side to this expansion is that I have had very little time for the gym. As I start back into my schedule of dieting and training, I can feel the effects of my time off from the gym. It will only be a matter of a couple weeks, and I expect to be right back where I left off. On the up side, business is Great! Now it's time to plan for the Grand Reopening.....
July 7, 2008:
As most of you know, I own a small beauty salon near my hometown called "Cut Ups". I have decided to expand my business! I am so excited to be adding two new stylists to my salon which will now make a total of five. We are doubling the size of the salon and adding some new services. Now we will be able to accommodate tanners with our new mega-bronzing bed. In addition, we will be offering nail services with our new pedicure spa which provides relaxing heat and massage for the client. I am looking forward to the change!
June 2008:
I have enjoyed my time off from the competition scene. I've been in the gym training hard and also relaxing by the pool. I took on some projects around my house and gave some very needed attention to my landscaping. I love to work outside in the yard. Subsequently, I did get some cardio in here too. I shoveled over two ton of lava rock into my flower beds in a matter of a couple of days. I am so proud of this accomplishment just knowing I did it all myself!

I had a wonderful time in beautiful Charleston, SC. I could move and live here easily. The show was so much fun! Everything ran very smoothly for such a a big show.
The judging criteria has begun to change this year. The best I can figure is that the judges are not looking for muscle in Figure anymore..... just shape and tone. Apparently, I have a look that may be more muscular than what is expected in Figure now. I am going to take some time off from the competition scene for now and decide where to go with my physique from here. It's time to hit the gym and train hard! I'm ready!
While in Charleston, i did work on a few photo shoots. Look for my new pictures in the Gallery. They should be up soon!

I just wanted to let everyone know how the Pittsburgh Pro/Am went this weekend. I had a wonderful time meeting so many new people. There seemed to be lots of competitors from out of state.... as far as Florida. It was a tough competition with a good quality of competitors. Having said all that, I did place in the top ten. I took 8th in the D class and 7th in the Masters. Check out the new competition pics in my Gallery.
Next will be the Jr USA show in Charleston, SC. I have a few photo shoots planned while at the show. Keep an eye out for NEW modeling photos coming soon!

The last two weeks have honestly been a struggle to get back on track with my contest prep, but I'm finally there. Today is my 13th wedding anniversary..... and that's no April Fool's joke! We got married 13 years ago today..... isn't that cool?! Since we are both dieting and cannot go out for dinner, we packed up our tuna and went car shopping. We ended up coming home with a HUMMER :) ... a yellow H2. It is SWEET!

In the last two weeks, I have been spending time taking care of my mother who has experienced some heart trouble. The doctors performed two heart procedures during her long hospital stay trying to control her rapid heart rate. She went in with a heart rate of 211 bpm. However, she is home and doing better after some changes in her medications. Now it is time to get back on track with the training and my contest prep. Shall we begin..... again?

Today I got my new diet, and I am excited to begin prep for my competitions this Spring. I will be competing in the Pittsburgh Pro/Am Championships and the Jr. USA in May along with my husband, Adam, who will be competing as a SHW in bodybuilding. It's time to begin this journey!

I just got back from the Arnold Classic in Columbus, OH. This year, I worked the Worldwide Sports Nutrition booth sampling their delicious Pure Protein bars. I got to work the booth with IFBB Pro, Marcus Haley. My husband, Adam, was there along with some of our friends from home...Nic, Tina, Sarah, Arnie, & Joe. It was so much fun! I also got to see some of my friends compete in the Amateur Arnold Figure competition. Next year I hope to join them on stage!
January 2008:
I was selected by all my friends and fans who voted for me as Model of the Month on TopRankedFitness.com . I won in the 5'5"-5'6" class of beautiful fitness models. Congrats to all the girls for their hard work! It was a tough competition.

Also, this month I have been featured in Body Fitness Magazine with a fabulous four page bio. The funny thing is, I have yet to find an English version that I can read. It's written in Portaguese....LOL.
